Container.1
We developed a new waste container together with Kalmarsundsregionens renhållare (KSRR). Our vision was to create a concept that makes it easier for people to recycle and strengthens the credability for KSRR. The result is a container that, through its form, is more accessible than the old version and it is playing a more central role than before.
Some of the improvments:

1. Is it child-proof
2. The container is wheelchair accessible.
3. As the container has several doors located at different heights, children can learn to recycle from early on, thus becoming a natural habit in their lives.
4. The container stands on nylon feet which absorb the noise made when being emptied into. The feet, together with the arched bottom also keep the container from rusting.
5. The small lids are easy to change if broken or damaged, meaning that the whole roof can remain intact and only a small part will ever have to be replaced.
6. The outside of the container has a small rack that can serve as a place to hold a bag or package.
7. Though this container is lower than the ones commonly used today, the amount of material that can be recycled is the same. The capacity of the container is maximized through its shape.

It has been rewarded the Sparbanksstiftelsen Kronan award for innovation.
